Speaker:
Professor Kord Smith

Professor Smith will give an overview of the development and status of current reactor physics core analysis methods and the challenges that lie ahead for true high-fidelity core physics modeling. Prof. Smith will describe ongoing activities in the Office of Science, Center for Exascale Simulation of Advanced Reactors (CESAR), and research opportunities available for MIT students interested in advanced modeling and simulation or High Performance Computing.
