Dr. Roger Rydin

Dr. Roger Rydin graduated with his ScD in 1964, doing experimental work on the Medical Therapy room at the MITR under Gordon Brownell. He worked at KAPL on the A1G Nimitz project for 4 years, and then taught at UVA for 30 years. Spread between, he spent 4 1/3 years at the Joint Research Center of the EU at Ispra, Italy working on neutron spectrometers, and on the European Accident Code for fast reactor disruption accidents, and 1 1/3 years at the KFA in Juelich, Germany working on HTGR pebble bed reactor dynamics. His textbook, Reactor Theory and Design, which is in pdf form and is now in the 3rd edition.
